HIGH SCHOOL INTENSIVE

(Live in person program for students in grades 9-12 and College)

We are thrilled to announce that the 2021 Long Island Musical Theatre Festival’s High School Intensive will meet in-person this August! The program has been designed with all COVID-19 safety protocols in place. While we cannot produce a full-scale musical safely, we will be performing an exciting original Broadway revue on the last day of the intensive.

LIVE OUT LOUD

THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LIPPA

We have arranged special permission to present the incredible songs of legendary Tony and Grammy nominated Broadway composer, ANDREW LIPPA (The Addams Family, The Wild Party, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Big Fish) in a revue for family and friends on the Adelphi University campus! Andrew Lippa will also offer a master class to our students!

Steven Altinel (Artistic Director) and his incredible staff will return for our 9th summer to teach daily classes and music direct the final production. Daily lessons will include:

  • Vocal Lessons

  • Acting Lessons

  • Dance Lessons

  • Audition Techniques

  • Vocal Book Preparation

  • Fun Theatre Games and Exercises

This popular pre-professional program is ideal for students who are passionate about Musical Theatre, and students who are interested in majoring in Musical Theatre in college. However, interested students without experience will also flourish within the supportive and encouraging environment cultivated by our exceptional teaching artists. Join us for an unforgettable week of personal growth and creative freedom!
